The perfect mind- What to believe

In a nutshell here’s what I now know about people:

“People don’t need to be fixed, they are not broken.

They need knowledge and understanding as to how their thinking works and how it is affecting their lives.

An understanding of thought is the key to a successful and fulfilling life.

With this understanding, they have the ability to change their life completely or to change only the parts they want to change.

When people don’t understand how their thinking works they will innocently believe their thinking and feel that they are the victim of life’s circumstance

What the thinker thinks, the prover proves

The mind believes what it thinks.

The mind's default setting is to automatically believe what it thinks and go find proof (not necessarily truth) for that thought. Just because it had a thought it acts upon it as if it were true. This is great, if you have been conditioned to focus on the positive and the abundance in life.

However, like most of us, if your conditioning is towards the negative and the perceived lack in life, then you can be in for a rough ride. 

Understanding thought.

Our understanding of thought has nothing to do with intelligence. No matter how clever we may be, our true understanding may still be non-existent. That is to say, we may not be aware of how we are creating the blockages and limitations in our life.

We may believe that circumstances are working against us when in fact it is our thinking about those circumstance that are working against us. The higher our understanding of our thinking is the more say we have in what to believe.

Just like the Ferris wheel. The higher it goes, the more we see.

The indicator only tells you which way the car is going. It doesn’t bring the car around the corner. The feeling doesn’t create the feeling.

Feelings, A powerful resource. Don't shoot the messenger

Most people don't understand that feelings are only telling us what we are thinking. We cannot experience a feeling without first having a thought. If we are feeling happy it's because we have had a happy thought. If we are feeling fearful it's because we have had a fearful thought.

People try to get rid of feelings using many different ways such as alcohol, drugs or food etc. 

To attempt to get rid of a feeling without recognising what is causing it is akin to shooting the messenger. Our feelings are an indicator of how our thoughts are being utilised.

Like an indicator on a car. If the indicator is flashing to the left, it is only telling you that the car is about to turn left. The indicator doesn't drive the car around the corner.

The feeling doesn't create the feeling.
